Case Study

CLIENT: U.S. Veg Corp

PROJECT: Customized a Joomla theme built with HTML5 & PHP 7

Our client owns and produces vegan events in major markets across the country. We had created this client’s prior website for their flagship event, the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival, with an original design and a custom-made Content Management System. They needed a site with richer functionality including an Instagram feed, a newsletter sign-up synced to Mailchimp, and pages for event attendees to purchase tickets as well as for Exhibitors to make credit card payments.

We researched various WordPress and Joomla templates that were closely aligned with our client’s needs. Ultimately we decided on a template that met those requirements in both look and feel and functionality. We made a number of programming adjustments that enabled all of the required features.

Since this website is for an annual event, the content must be continually updated. The Joomla Administrative back-end provides ample flexibility and ease of use. Content is easily updated as well as new pages and functionality added as necessary.

The site is built with HTML5 and PHP 7, features Responsive Design and is primed for SEO. According to client surveys, the site users find it a pleasant navigating experience whether they’re looking for the event Schedule, its Exhibitors, FAQs or wanting to purchase tickets.
